A vague whiff of the exotic is present in the form of spicy Asian-style tea that adds breadth to the wonderfully pure, restrained and elegant aromas of pear, just sliced apple, citrus zest and a similar hint of mineral reduction. The intensely stony medium-bodied flavors possess excellent verve and delineation before culminating in an equally palate-staining, balanced and striking long finish. This is a bit richer than the Caillerets, but it too is going to still need an extended snooze in a cool cellar to realize its considerable potential This is also terrific.
